This avian research program is a great opportunity for pictures, so bring a camera! $4 per person/$12 per family. Note: for the safety of the birds, this program will be cancelled if it is raining, snowing, or if the temperature dips much below 32 degrees.

June 14-18 ECO Academy (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) at Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve (first session). WNS is offering this unique new summer experience in an effort to get Every Child Outside (ECO). ECO Explorers will get outside to explore, discover, imagine, and learn about the natural world around them. Get your children outside this summer, and give them lifelong memories that will foster an understanding, appreciation, and respect for their world. Discovery Camp is half day or full day for ages 6-8. Adventure Camp is full day for ages 9-12. Cost for full day is $150 for nonmembers, $135 for members; cost for half day is $100 for nonmembers, $85 for members. Extended care is available 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m for $25/week. 10% discount for WNS members and additional siblings. Registration is required, space is limited.

ECO Explorers will get outside to explore, discover, imagine, and learn about the natural world around them. Get your children outside this summer, and give them lifelong memories that will foster an understanding, appreciation, and respect for their world. Discovery Camp is half day or full day for ages 6-8. Adventure Camp is full day for ages 9-12. Cost for full day is $150 for nonmembers, $135 for members; cost for half day is $100 for nonmembers, $85 for members. Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc., for a visit with Santa's buddy Wes (our raccoon mascot in Santa attire), and join in the reindeer games with holiday-themed crafts and activities. The kiddos will go on a Reindeer Riddles scavenger hunt, try their hand at the reindeer ring toss, make holiday crafts, cozy up for a Christmas story, get their picture taken with Santa Wes, and more.
